“Seattle, you make me feel like I’m at home - back in The Bay. You’ve been so welcoming, I’ve felt the love all night.”
Says Oakland rapper G-Eazy to a crowd that packed The Accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington; just outside Seattle city limits. He continues to talk about how he’s been coming to Seattle for a long time, playing at venues like The Showbox and The Crocodile, and now finally The ShoWare Center. He asks the audience who his day one fans are, instructs them to hold a single finger in the air, and a tour/studio montage is projected at the large display behind him as he performs his song “Easy.”
In celebration of his latest release The Beautiful & Damned, G-Eazy is touring the U.S. with support from Anthony Russo, PHORA, and Trippie Redd. The support acts perform almost immediately one after another, and do an incredible job of hyping and entertaining the audience while they wait for G-Eazy to take the stage. The love G-Eazy talked about was shown not only throughout his set, but during every act. Phones were in the air recording video, and flashes were lighting up the arena all night long.
G-Eazy’s show was split into three Acts: “Act I: The Beautiful”, “Act II: The Damned”, and “Act III: Epilogue.” He took the stage for the first act in all black and a sleek leather jacket with his signature greased back hair, the second act in all white and a strait jacket-esque coat, and he began his epilogue with his biggest song currently charting “Him & I.” No Halsey appeared at his side in Seattle, but G-Eazy gave Seattle everything he had and left the crowd crazed and screaming for more. A large display with lights and visuals cast onto it stood towering behind him, and CO2 cannons went off throughout his set to elevate his performance even further. The Beautiful & Damned Tour is one special to G-Eazy, and an impressive show nobody should miss.
