UPSAHL | Atlanta

October 15, 2022

Straight out of Phoenix, it’s Lady Jesus! Beloved artist, UPSAHL, spent her Friday night at a sold out show at Vinyl, an iconic venue in the heart and soul of Atlanta. The 23-year-old Arizona-native is as fun and welcoming on stage, as she is off stage. With support from KiNG MALA, Unclear had the absolute pleasure of getting to see the rising artist live.

“Lady Jesus” opens the show with the infamous beats at the beginning of the track. Fans are screaming at the top of their lungs as UPSAHL takes the stage. Dressed like a rockstar in a mixture of a red undershirt and an off-white jumpsuit with buckles, the TikTok icon is rocking the house. With back-to-back performances of: “Time Of My Life,” “People I Don’t Like,” and “Monica Lewinsky,” UPSAHL is here to kick ass and take names. The set has quickly unwinded, her guitarists and other band members are giving a performance of a lifetime as UPSAHL’s unreleased track “Into My Body,” plays.

Now, don’t fret. UPSAHL performed fan favorites like, “Money on My Mind” and “Douchebag.” The venue is full from the front of the venue to the back. The squeaky ceiling fans are circulating more than just warm air, they’re circulating an energy that’s pumping up UPSAHL fans. After giving Atlanta a warm welcome, UPSAHL continues to weave through her set with: “Thriving,” and “IDFWFEELINGS.” Not soon after, fans are hearing UPSAHL’s latest release “Antsy,” an ode to figuring yourself out in a fury of confusion and instability. “Young Life Crisis,” from UPSAHL’s 2020 EP of the same name, warms everyone up again.

The highlight of the night rests with her cover of “3 Nights” by Dominic Fike. The laid-back version of this track has fans screaming for more as she slides into “Notorious.” The head-banging anthem rips through Vinyl while hands are in the air. The show ends with “Last Supper” and “Sad Sorry After Party,” and Atlanta fans are chanting for more. “Encore! Upsahl! Encore!” echoes through the space and UPSAHL’s band takes the stage one more time. “Atlanta,” UPSAHL coos. “We’re not done with you yet.” And then… “12345SEX” starts and it’s like the party never stopped. With amazing performances of, “Lunatic,” and “Drugs,” it’s evident that this life was made for UPSAHL.

If you love UPSAHL as much as we do (and can’t wait for more tours and music), you can find her online at (@upsahlmusic) on Instagram and Twitter. Have tickets to a show? Say hi to UPSAHL’s sister, Ryan, at the merch table and grab something for yourself! Can’t make it to a show? Merch is also available online at upsahl.com!
