Currently starring on the hit FOX series “The Mick”, Thomas Barbusca is rapidly growing in the TV industry. With prior appearances on "Grey’s Anatomy" and "American Horror Story", his acting breakthrough is one that we may never forget. In this interview we get more insight and a look at Barbusca’s future endeavors!

When did you first get your start in acting?

"I got into acting following my sister around on auditions when I was around 4 years old. I did some modeling too."

What do you remember from your first audition?

"Yes it was for a Lysol commercial that I ended up booking."

You currently star as Chip Pemberton in FOX’s "The Mick". Can you tell us a little about the show and your role as Chip?

"'The Mick' is about a family that gets thrown a curve ball when their parents get arrested and sent to jail for tax fraud and their aunt mickey comes to take care of them. She's not your typical aunt. The kids are super entitled and spoiled. My character Chip Pemberton is probably the most entitled of them all. He thinks money can buy everything and usually makes a fool of himself in every episode."

Which episode of "The Mick" would you say you had the most fun filming?

"I seriously have fun filming every episode. If I had to pick one this season I would say The Matriarch was fun because i got to drive a supped up golf cart. That was great. Taking a bubble bath having my feet scrubbed and being fed protein shakes was funny too."

Of all the roles you have portrayed, which would you say has been your favorite and why?

"Comedy wise, 'The Mick' for sure! I am grateful everyday to play this character. I've had so many great storylines playing chip. I get to work with Kaitlin Olson everyday which is like having the best acting teacher. She's a comedic genius. I barely can keep a straight face. Drama wise, I think 'Preacher' was a very different role for me serious and kinda dark, I enjoyed having a serious role."

When you aren’t acting, what do you like to do in your spare time?

"Spending time with my family and friends. Basketballs games, dinners hanging out at the flea market."

We can soon see you in the upcoming independent film "Search", as well as YouTube Red’s Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television. What can you tell us about these projects?

"Ryan Hansen solves crime on television was a lot fun to film. I had the best time. I play the owner of a sneaker store that gets into some trouble with Joel McHale and Ryan Hansen. Search is an independent film. Director Aneesh Chaganty asked me to be a part of it and I immediately said yes. He's a genius. He was the director of the very first short film I did when I came to California. This movie will win many awards he's amazing it already has! The film is about a 16-year-old girl goes missing and her desperate father breaks into her laptop to look for clues to find her."

Are there any goals that you hope to achieve as an actor?

"I just hope to just keep doing what I'm doing and to get better everyday. I'm very grateful for all the great roles I've  done. I want to do a dramatic film to show I am not just a comedy actor. Maybe even a cool action film. For now I'm very happy with the way my career is going."
