16-year-old, Washington D.C. native, Amarr M. Wooten has just landed himself a series regular role on the new Nickelodeon TV comedy, “Knight Squad.” Wooten has been acting since the young age of three and is not unfamiliar with the spotlight. His other feature roles have included recurring roles on ABC’s hit comedy “American Housewife” & Disney’s “Liv & Maddie,” as well as a lead role in Nickelodeon’s original movie “Splitting Adam.” "Knight Squad" is set to premiere its pilot episode in early 2018, so keep your eye out for Amarr M. Wooten and read below to find out more!

How did you get your start in acting?

"I was modeling at the age of two, and at the age of three my mom decided to transition me into acting."

What was your first ever audition like?

"I actually don’t remember my first audition since I was so young! However, I remember my first project being on 'Court TV,' a crime reenactment show!"

You star as Warwick in Nickelodeon’s new show Knight Squad. Can you tell us a little about the show and what we can expect from it?

"'Knight Squad' goes into depth with young knights in training! I play Warwick, 1/4 of the Phoenix Squad! I’d like to say Warwick is a charismatic, overly ambitious knight with a lot of weight on his shoulders because he is a third generation knight. You can expect ogres, sword fights, magical creatures, and a big secret from Warwick that you’ll have to tune in to find out."

How do you relate to your character Warwick on the show?

"It’s funny because the base character of Warwick is nothing like me! However, since I’m more of a cool, laid back person I try to add those elements to Warwick to make him feel more 'human' for me!"

Of all the roles you have portrayed, which would you say has been your favorite and why?

"Of all the roles I have portrayed I would say that my favorite would have to be Finch from 'Liv and Maddie' because he was so different than how I really am! As I watched him I was convinced I was looking at a completely different person!"

When you aren’t acting, what do you like to do in your spare time?

"When I’m not on sets I like to play sports and to have fun with my friends!"

Is there a certain type of role that you haven’t gotten to portray yet that you would love to in the future?

"I haven’t played a superhero role yet so hopefully I get to in the future!"
